Dr. Angela Braun

Dr. Angela grew up in the rural outskirts of Berlin, Wisconsin, where she developed a love for animals while caring for stray cats that roamed the countryside. After numerous attempts, she finally convinced her parents to allow one of the cats, affectionately named Popcorn, to join the family.

After completing her undergraduate studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Dr. Angela worked in Costa Rica for several years, where her love for helping animals burgeoned. She encountered many stray cats and dogs there, which she helped rehabilitate and rehome, including several she adopted. She also volunteered for a spay and neuter program that provided services to underserved rural areas that lacked veterinary care.

Her interest in veterinary medicine was fueled by these experiences, and she returned to Wisconsin to earn her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at UW-Madison. Since graduating in 2014, Dr. Angela previously worked in a high volume spay/neuter/wellness clinic and a small animal hospital in Howard, WI before joining the CountrySide team in 2017. Her clinical interests include preventive medicine, dentistry, dermatology, surgery and internal medicine.

In her free time, she enjoys running, salsa dancing, playing piano, cooking, gardening, traveling and spending time with her daughter and three cats; Spicoli, Oliver, and Nikko. She looks forward to caring for all of your furry family members.
