was born and raised on a dairy farm in Southeastern Wisconsin. She received her undergraduate degree at the University of Wisconsin- Stevens Point followed by her Master’s degree at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Then, she attended the University Of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine and completed her DVM in 2004. She has been with CountrySide Veterinary Services since graduation and recently became an owner in 2008. She enjoys the challenges of practicing large and companion animal medicine and has a special interest in orthopedics. One of her most recent endeavors is working with whitetail deer. Dr. Stempa lives in Appleton with her husband, Christopher and daughter, Carsyn and son, Easton. Her extended family consists of Jake, a boxer, and Sage, a mixed breed dog. Denise loves spending time with her family and traveling during the weekends to either Southeastern Wisconsin or to Shawano to spend time on her parents and in-laws family farms. She also enjoys distance running and spending time outdoors
