Dr. Michaela Sumnicht

Dr. Michaela Sumnicht grew up in Appleton, WI. She attended St. Norbert College where she received her undergraduate degree in Biology in 2018, followed by her DVM at Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University in 2022. Although Michaela enjoyed her time in Massachusetts and met a lot of wonderful friends, she decided to move back home to be closer to family and practice in the Midwest after graduation. Michaela enjoys all aspects of small animal practice, but during her first years as a veterinarian developed a special interest in surgery and urgent care. She enjoys the fast-paced environment and more complex cases that these areas bring.

Outside of work, Michaela enjoys spending time with her fiancé, family, and friends, as well as her four cats (Cleo, Jasper, Greg, and Walter) and two dogs (Randy & Gretchen). She also has two horses (Xena & Indie), who she enjoys riding in her free time. Michaela also likes spending time outside hiking, checking out new breweries, and reading.
