Dr. Katie Ahnen grew up in rural northeastern Wisconsin. Dr. Katie’s passion for animals started at a young age growing up with horses, cows, and a variety of small animal pets. She attended University of Wisconsin River Falls earning a degree in animal science and went on to earn her DVM in 2022 from the University of Wisconsin- Madison School of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Katie’s interests in veterinary medicine include both large and small animal medicine specifically preventative medicine and geriatric care. Dr. Katie is excited to advocate and help animals along with giving back to the community. She appreciates the constant learning and challenges associated with the veterinary field.
Outside of work, Dr. Katie enjoys spending time with her husband, family, and friends. Her hobbies include horseback riding, scrapbooking, and hiking. Dr. Katie shares her home with a hamster (Trooper), cat (Huck), and two dogs (Ruger and Cricket).
